Texas Christian University’s commitment to student well-being continues to gain national recognition. Dr. Eric Wood, director of Counseling & Mental Health TCU, has been invited to serve on the Campus Mental Health Advisory Board organized by The Princeton Review in partnership with the Ruderman Family Foundation. The invitation follows TCU’s recent placement on The Princeton Review’s Honor Roll for campus mental health services. This recognition highlights TCU’s ongoing work to provide accessible, responsive and student-centered care.
The advisory board brings together a small group of campus mental health leaders from institutions across the country to help guide how mental health resources are evaluated and shared with students and families. Members provide input on the data points, questions, and best practices that shape national reporting on college mental health services.
Dr. Wood said he sees the appointment as both an honor and a reflection of the team behind the work. “This is really a recognition of the entire Counseling & Mental Health staff and the broader campus community,” Wood said. “Our goal has always been to make sure students feel supported, heard and cared for. Being part of this advisory group gives us a chance to contribute to conversations happening at the national level and continue learning how we can serve our students even better.”
As student needs continue to evolve, TCU remains focused on strengthening services that promote resilience, connection and overall well-being. Dr. Wood’s appointment reinforces TCU’s role as a leader in campus mental health, but more importantly, it reflects the university’s ongoing commitment to showing up for students every day. From drop-in appointments to late-night support and everyday conversations, the goal is simple, to make sure every Horned Frog feels supported, heard and cared for so they can thrive both in and out of the classroom.
